An adventurer into the realm of digital and social media, my path was a bit meandrous but I seem to have found my way. A graduate of CUNY Baruch College and CUNY Hunter College, with a Master of Public Administration and Bachelor of Arts in Urban Studies, I am a product of the great state of New York. Currently, I work as the Public Information Officer for the New York State Division of Veterans’ Affair handling Facebook, Twitter, press inquiries, press releases and anything else technologically a millennial could be tasked with.
Before my state service, I worked with the New York City Police Department creating the first emergency management curriculum for the 4,000 strong volunteer force and maintaining the social media presence of the Auxiliary Unit. I worked with New York City Emergency Management, creating the first food playbook for New York City and generating emergency preparedness pods for deployment at all 67 evacuation centers.
I strive to utilize my experience as a trainer and designer to inform and better my civil service in the hopes of making my state not less than rather greater than I found it.
